Privacy Policy
RenoRange is operated by OpsAgents. This policy explains what we collect when you use RenoRange to get a renovation estimate, what we do with it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you have a question, email privacy@opsagents.agency.
What we collect
What you give us. The project you describe (the trade, size, finish, timeline and ZIP code), a photo of your space if you choose to upload one, and your name, phone number and email address.
Your consent record. When you check the consent box and send your request, we record that you agreed, the words you agreed to, the time, your browser type, and the page you sent it from.
Collected automatically. Campaign tags in the link that brought you here (for example, which ad you clicked). Usage data about how you move through the site, collected by Google Analytics and PostHog. PostHog also records session replays of your visit; the replays are masked, so the text on the page and everything you type are hidden in them. To stop automated abuse, we turn your network address into a keyed code; we store that code, not the address itself.
On your device. The estimate form keeps a copy of your request in your browser's local storage. It stays there until you clear this site's data.
How we use it
- To prepare your cost range and an AI design preview. If you upload a photo, it is sent to our preview service, which uses Google Cloud's Vertex AI to generate the preview. We keep the photo's file name with your request, not the photo.
- To connect you with one licensed contractor partner for your project (see below).
- To contact you about your project by call, text and email, as described under "Calls and texts".
- To keep a record of your consent. We store the wording of the consent notice you agreed to, and when you agreed.
- To keep a record of any request to stop contacting you. We handle these by hand today, as described under "Calls and texts".
- To prevent spam and abuse, and to measure and improve the site.
Who we share it with
One licensed contractor partner. We share your request with one licensed contractor partner that serves your area, not a list of contractors. The partner receives, so it can contact you about the job:
- Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
- Where the work is: your ZIP code and county, and whether it is in the partner's service area.
- The project: trade, finish level, size and timeline.
- The estimate range we showed you.
- Our internal assessment of the request: a reference number, the date you sent it, an intent score and grade, the number of times you submitted, where the request stands in our follow-up (for example, new), whether we could confirm the request came from this site, and whether we marked it as ready to pass to a contractor partner. We only mark a request ready when we could confirm it came from this site.
The partner does not receive your consent record. The contractor partner may pay OpsAgents for the referral. Once the partner has your details, it handles them under its own practices.
Service providers. Companies that run parts of the service for us: Google Cloud (website hosting, the database that stores requests, and Vertex AI for previews), Google Analytics and PostHog. They process your information to provide their services to us. We do not currently use a phone or text-message provider of our own; if we add one we will name it here before we start calling or texting from it.
When the law requires it. We may disclose information to comply with the law or a valid legal request, to protect the rights and safety of our visitors or others, or as part of a merger, sale or transfer of the business.
Calls and texts
When you check the consent box and send your request, you agree that RenoRange and one licensed contractor partner may contact you about your project by call, text and email. That can happen soon after you send your request, and it can include automated calls and texts, prerecorded messages, and calls that use an AI-generated voice. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply.
To stop, reply STOP to a text from the partner, tell us on any call, or email privacy@opsagents.agency. This is a commitment we keep by hand, not an automated system. A person at OpsAgents reads that mailbox, records your request, stops contacting you, and passes the request on to the contractor partner we shared your details with. We aim to do this within 3 business days. Emailing privacy@opsagents.agency is the surest route, because it is the one we monitor.
How long we keep it
We keep your request and contact details while we are working to connect you with a contractor partner and following up about your project. We keep your consent record, and any request to stop contacting you, for as long as we may need to show that you agreed or that we honored your request, which can be longer than we keep the request itself. When you ask us to delete your information, we delete it, except for the records we must keep to prove consent, honor your opt-out, or meet a legal obligation. Deletion is carried out by hand by a person at OpsAgents — there is no self-service delete button today. We aim to complete it within 30 days of verifying your request and will tell you when it is done. Copies held by the contractor partner are kept under its own practices.
Your choices and rights
- See, correct or delete your information. Email privacy@opsagents.agency from the address you used, or tell us the phone number you gave, and we will verify the request and act on it by hand. We aim to respond within 30 days.
- Stop calls and texts at any time, as described above.
- Limit analytics by blocking cookies or tracking scripts in your browser. The estimate form still works.
- Remove the copy on your device by clearing this site's data in your browser.
RenoRange is built for homeowners in South Florida, and this policy is written for them.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards: requests are sent over encrypted connections, stored in a Google Cloud database, and readable only by access-controlled tools. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.
Children
RenoRange is for homeowners and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and its effective date.
